Custom handmade glass wall sconce lamp

This wall sconce lamp combines two types of glass working. The first is Lamp Working, where different colored glass is combined then manipulated in a hot flame. Once the colors are completely combined they are finally pulled out into long rods called "Cane". Once cool, the glass canes are arranged on a sheet of glass then fired to about 1450 degrees, so that all the canes melt together. Finally the completely fused together sheet of cane is laid on a form and again fired and brought up to slumping temperature, where it follows the contour of the form below thus giving it it final shape.
